Funded by the International Development Association of the World Bank, this project is an important part of the resilient development project in the Kinshasa Area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and will last 24 months. The starting point of the project is the Ozone Water Treatment Plant and the end point is the Makara Pressure Increase Station. The Level 1 pipeline is made of ductile iron pipe, and the Level 2 and 3 pipelines are made of HDPE pipe. After the completion, the tap water produced by Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Ozone Water Treatment Plant can be transported from north to south to the 12 districts of Kinshasa, which will change the situation of no water to be delivered at the southern Makala Pressure Increase Station and benefit most residents in the west of Kinshasa.
